A phosphorus bomb from The second world war that was found on a building and construction website at Frankfurt Airport was effectively pacified, a cops representative stated on Friday.

The decades-old bomb was found throughout building work around the brand-new Terminal 3. Incendiary bombs consisting of white phosphorus were utilized on a big scale versus Germany throughout The Second World War.

An exemption zone was established in a radius of around 1,000 metres around the website of the discovery. The A5 freeway that runs near the airport was briefly closed due to the bomb disposal operation.

The airport recommended guests to leave sufficient time to reach the airport and to get to the check-in counter as early as possible. It stated visitors must inspect their airline company’s site for any modifications.
