Bodker will use his photos and videos to prepare attendees for going on their own birding adventures when he presents “Let’s Go Birding” from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Monday, April 8, at the main branch of the Lenawee District Library in Adrian, 4459 W. U.S. 223. There is no cost or registration required to attend. The program is intended for bird lovers ages 16 or older.

There will be many topics covered in Bodker’s presentation, the library said in a news release, including the health benefits of bird watching, the best equipment to use, information about field guides and where to go birding in Lenawee County.

"I’ll always stop birding to pet a dog," Greg Bodker, an award-winning photographer and a Michigan nature and bird enthusiast, said. "This warm-hearted boy came over to me while I was grouse birding in Colorado.""I’ll always stop birding to pet a dog," Greg Bodker, an award-winning photographer and a Michigan nature and bird enthusiast, said. “Greg’s passion for birding truly started in 2006. It has allowed him to combine his love of birds, nature and photography in a unique and captivating way,” the library said. “When he’s not leading birding expeditions for the Michigan Audubon, Greg is busy sharing his insight and bird knowledge with others at libraries and various locations throughout our beautiful state.”

Novice and aspiring birders will benefit from Bodker’s program, the library said.
