PARIS (AP) — French President Emmanuel Macron is taking a trip to New Caledonia, indicating French authorities’ growing self-confidence that strengthened security and emergency situation steps are bringing discontent on the French Pacific area under control.
Federal government spokesperson Prisca Thevenot revealed the journey. “He will go there this evening,” she stated Tuesday.
