I’m a former Republican voting in the Democratic primary. None of the Republicans for governor have earned my vote.
On April 16, James Briggs’ mailbag addressed the billboards telling Democrats to vote in the Republican primary. He encouraged Democratic-leaning voters to vote for a “good-faith” candidate for governor in the Republican primary.
As a former Republican voter who left the party after its continued extremism, I couldn’t agree less. Who, exactly, is the “good-faith” Republican?
It’s certainly not former Indiana Economic Development Corp. leader Brad Chambers, the career insider running as an “outsider.” He’s caved to the MAGA extreme by campaigning on the border while running for a state-level office. No moderate should ever vote for Suzanne Crouch.
I will be casting a vote for Democrat Jennifer McCormick to be our next governor, both in May and in November. Her background can help turn around Indiana’s dismal educational record over the past 20 years and bring new jobs to our state.
Jennifer is the only good-faith option for Hoosier voters who care about moving our state forward. She deserves your vote too in the primary and this fall.
