NYC crossing guard charged with attempted rape after believing he was luring 14-year-old girl into sex

A Queens crossing guard tried to lure who he thought was a 14-year-old girl into sex — but the sicko was busted this week when the supposed teen turned out to be an undercover cop, officials said.

“Have you ever had sex before? Well, if u tried it with me it’s going to be enchanting,” Jared Jeridore, 24, messaged an undercover cop posing as a teen on Instagram on April 18, according to a disturbing criminal complaint.

Investigators launched an undercover operation after minors lodged complaints against the pervy NYPD employee, who worked a block away from York Early College Academy in South Jamaica, the Queens District Attorney’s Office said Wednesday.

The undercover cop who was pretending to be a teen met Jeridone on the corner where he worked on March 18 and exchanged Instagram handles with him weeks later, according to the complaint.

The perv then allegedly sent sexually explicit messages along with a photo and video of his penis while also asking her to meet him at a Queens hotel for sex.

“Thank you for letting me be the nicest school crossing guard on the planet,” the creepy crossing guard wrote in a message, according to prosecutors.

“Your secret is safe with me, I can’t wait for Tuesday,” he said in another, referring to her age and their upcoming hotel stay.

But when Jeridore knocked on a hotel door at the Best Western Jamaica Inn on Tuesday, he was met by police who found three condoms on him, Queens District Attorney Melinda Katz said.

The accused pedophile was charged Wednesday with attempted rape, attempted use of a child in a sexual performance and a slew of other crimes.

“Young people need to be able to trust the adults who are charged with keeping them safe,” Katz said in a statement.

“This defendant is accused of violating that trust with someone he thought was a teenager.”

Jerodore was suspended by the NYPD after the arrest and then later resigned, a police spokesperson told The Post.

His next court date is set for June 7.
