See vote tallies on Royals, Chiefs stadium tax in Jackson County

Kansas City Star
Polls have closed in Missouri’s municipal elections, marking the end to a contentious debate in Jackson County over a stadium tax benefiting the Kansas City Royals and Chiefs.

Voters weighed in on a ballot question authorizing a 3/8th-cent sales tax throughout the county for the next 40 years to help pay for the construction of a new Royals stadium in the East Crossroads and renovations for the Chiefs at Arrowhead.

The Star will be posting results here as they come in Tuesday night. Check back later for updates.

The vote totals above combine results from the Kansas City Election Board, which tabulates votes in the part of Jackson County that also lies within Kansas City limits, and the Jackson County Election Board, which oversees voting everywhere in the county outside of Kansas City.

The data will be updated throughout Tuesday evening as the Kansas City Election Board and the Jackson County Election Board release results.
