Torando detected on radar near Alvarado; damaging winds, hail expected

Here’s what we know about Thursday’s storms in Dallas-Fort Worth, when it’ll exit region
National Weather Service radar has shown a tornado in Parker County, around Aledo, according to information from the service.

A tornado warning was issued for Alvarado, Venus and Lilian around 8 p.m.

A severe thunderstorm warning remains in effect for Tarrant County until at least 9:15 p.m.

The National Weather Service has not confirmed whether a Tornado touched down, but did warn people in the area to take cover. The storm is capable of producing 1.25 inch hail and damaging winds that can damage structures and homes and destroy mobile homes.

Severe weather, capable of producing toranados, hail and damaging winds, are expected to continue overnight in North Texas, according to the National Weather Service in Fort Worth.
