UN will describe Israel and Hamas as violating children's rights in armed conflict

UNITED COUNTRIES (AP) — The U.N. secretary-general will note Israel and Hamas as breaking the rights and defense of kids in armed dispute in an approaching yearly report to the Security Council.

According to the beginning of in 2015’s report, lists celebrations taken part in “the killing and maiming of kids” and in “attacks on schools, medical facilities and secured individuals in relation to schools and/or medical facilities.”

The head of Secretary-General António Guterres’ workplace, Courtenay Rattray, called Israel’s U.N. Ambassador, Gilad Erdan, on Friday to notify him that Israel would be noted on the next report when it is sent out to the council within a couple of weeks, U.N. representative Stéphane Dujarric informed press reporters.

Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad likewise are being noted.

Israel responded with outrage, sending out wire service a video of Erdan scolding Rattray, allegedly on the other end of a telephone call.
