Russia utilizes North Korean munitions in its war with Ukraine – Ukraine's intelligence

Ukraine’s intelligence sources have revealed that Russia currently uses North Korean munitions in its war with Ukraine.

“Indeed, we can verify that there has been cooperation between the two regimes concerning artillery shells, and North Korea has supplied a significant quantity of artillery shells to the Russian Federation. Some have already been utilized and are being employed in the conflict against Ukraine.”

When questioned about the fronts where the Russians predominantly use these shells, Yusov noted that it is challenging to pinpoint specific areas along the frontline.

“In reality, it’s difficult to track this because the shells are not allocated separately to various fronts but are distributed as mixed ammunition, comprising both Russian-manufactured and foreign-made,” Yusov elaborated.

Volodymyr Fito, spokesperson for the Ukrainian Ground Forces Command, confirmed that Russia utilized North Korean munitions to target Kharkiv. Regarding the munitions, he mentioned the difficulty in determining whether a North Korean shell exploded or not, as it disintegrates upon detonation.
