Vehicle found in Macon, suspect identified after a hit and run

Warner Robins police say they’ve found a vehicle and identified a suspect in a hit and run that left someone injured last month.

Police say the vehicle was found last week and it belongs to Dustin Nelson. The Warner Robins Police Department said Nelson has active warrants for the incident.

On March 30, police said they responded to a welfare check regarding a person lying near the road of Watson Boulevard.

Police said the person had been struck by a vehicle and taken to a nearby hospital. He was in stable condition Monday.

The Warner Robins Police Department Traffic Unit said the circumstances of the incident were still under investigation Monday. Anyone with information as it pertains to this case is being asked to contact Officer Mark Miller at (478)-551-4578 or the Macon Regional Crime Stoppers.
